Christmas Picture

Although I love the look of alkyds, they take a while to dry.  So with this painting I decided to return to my former paint nemesis, acrylics.  Fortunately we were able to work things out between us, largely due to the efforts of our mutual friend Matte Medium.

The license plate in this painting contains a little piece of code encrypted with my own completely breakable .0025 bit algorithm. All I can tell you is that it has something to do with this girl named Laura that I was dating at the time.

The Old Caruthers’ Place

The most difficult part of this painting for me was coming up with appropriate kid clothes.  I generally just want to throw all humans under the age of eight into overalls (in my paintings, that is).

Field Broom Trip Up

Ok, I admit it.  This one was actually just an excuse to try my hand at painting multi-colored particle systems.  It's kind of like that trippy pancake movie that we were shown in gradeschool, without the completely obvious drug subtext.
